As a drummer Scotland is well-versed in many different styles and environments. He has worked in the genres of Rock, Funk, Jazz, Jazz-Fusion, Hip-hop, Gospel and more. He is experienced as a live performer, touring musician, and as a studio / session player.
Most of Scotland's studies on the drums have been on his own, giving him a unique style on the instrument.
His additional knowledge of guitar, bass, and working in collective-writing environments give him an excellent understanding of how to play what is complementary for well-written songs.
