Tasting Notes:

Medium brown color.
Rich nose, reminiscent of heavily sherry-casked scotch. Notes of candied fruits and white pepper from the oak.
Rich malt profile up front and nice texture and flavor throughout. The flavors lean towards sweet. Not sure of the what type of wine the barrels held but it imparts a rich flavor on the whiskey. It leans toward traditional sherry but with a fruitier wine character apparent on the palate as well.
Very interesting whiskey. Rich, malty, pretty, and sweet.
Well worth a try.
