Tasting Notes:

Rich amber color approaching mahogany. Without Water: Briny iodine and dry smoke on the nose. On the palate this is classic Islay. Big dry smoke and briny peat. Malt character is there but subdued. With Water: The nose opens up with more complexity. The sweet malt shows through and compliments the smoke aroma nicely. On the palate there is a rich layer of underlying malt that is complimented by medium smoke and some mellow peat. The finish is log and complex with a dominant character of mild smoke.
